Redundantly outlawed on too many levels
Posted in Freedom on February 27th, 2009 by Daniel Keyes – Be the first to commentA debate I had with Fraser H. in the comments section of my last post inspired this one. I considered writing an entire post on how banning things on multiple levels (banning handguns although murder is already illegal, for example) is redundant and unnessesarily constricts personal freedom, but I think Fraser and I covered the issue enough. Besides, it’s more interesting to just check out two different perspectives on the debate. Some interesting points were raised.
This debate is particularly timely considering the recent calls for handgun and knife bans in Canada.
